I'm talking about DDR RAM here, by the way. What I'd like to know is: just how much faster is it? I'd be grateful for any program comaparisons with the two different RAM speeds, or maybe a URL with RAM tests? Thanks.
Start up quicker, faster response times. You'll notice a speed improvement on long operations, especially on large amounts of data.
Thanks everyone, but I can work out the maths. But I'm talking more about real life uses - how will it benefit applications such as web design, flash animation, games, and office stuff, for example?
The actual difference in speed is not noticeable unless you're hurting your system in very specific ways, however.
(400-266)/266*100 = 50%..
yeh,think about it, 266 is almost half of 400,well 66 off. so id say 40% -50% faster
Just look at sandra. Basically it's 50% faster.
