You've just missed it. Well, so have I actually but my wife phoned me at work and told me they were complaining about the PS2. Don't know the details yet, but I'm sure someone here has seen it and knows what Anne Robinson is saying.

Speculation has it that it's:
"PS2 - you are the weakest link, goodbye!"

I didn't see it, but I understand they were focusing on the "huge" number of defective PS2's.

According to The Sun (that well-respected tabloid newspaper), Sony have had around 5,000 calls from unhappy punters who's PS2's either stopped working, or never worked.

Which in itself is fair comment - those people must have been gutted, especially if they only discovered they had a knackered unit on Xmas day.

But, put into perspective, there are now around 200,000 machines in the UK - it doesn't take a genius to evaluate a 2.5% failure rate. In those terms, it's not so bad.

I saw it. They were mainly complaining about the shoddy workmanship, especially of the electrics. One electritian opened the cases on some PS2s and said the power supplies were not very good. Apparently they had been either blowing up or not starting at all due to the PSU or freezing after playing a demo. It seems to have been a batch of the first released ones, but Watchdog, as usual, have blown it out of all proportions and made it sound as if it was the whole lot.
I think it doesn't affect the second batch that were delivered nearer to christmas.

I'm not sure what the link policy is here, but I believe Watchdog were focussing on the news piece on the Sun's website.

Why are the conversations here not that exciting without Grix and fantasyMeister? Do they really posses such intelectial empowerment? (no we don't, we're just mad, Gix's brain out)

Let's get some discussing done!
