I have done a little thing about the benefits of overclocking your cpu, i have not used any hardcore overclockers hardware and used retail cpu heatsink and fanm this is a P4 rig i will do it on an Athlon rig soon and also show you how to unlock it, anyway follow this link if you want to see the benefits of overclocking you cpu.......

this is one of the reason's why im showing this thread to the masses, it is a scare thing that most cpu manafacturers started, overclocking isnt bad for your pc as long as you arent stupid, overclocking massivly does decrease the life of your cpu but hey who keeps the computers longer than 10 years.

Isnt overclocking bad? I thought it meant that you had clocked your computer too far.

My PC would probably need a nucler power source to clock it high enough to play most games, thats why I've got one of Bill's box's :)
