War is looming, whether you like it or not, and although people say that they want to avoid it, Blair and Bush have turned into a duo of bloodthirsty super-pirates, and whatever is done in the next few weeks will just go towards giving an even better excuse for blowing things up.

So, a war, and many innocents in the Middle east will die. If it goes on for so long, they might all die.

So why pro-long the agony? Why keep Saddam plumping his moustache and plotting deaths? Most of the Middle East is going down, either that or most of us are going down. I don't want to die, but I'm not going to say I want other people to die either. But, if I had the choice between dying tomorrow, when i had time to tell everyone how much i love them, or whether I died unexpectedly in 2 weeks, I'd choose the former option.

So, for the sake of the Middle East - why don't we just blow it up now?

You are absolutely right. The Human race is indeed a cancer on the earth who takes much and gives little in return.

But assuming Darwin is right, removing the Human race is likely to spare the planet for a while, until in a short time (relative to the planet's age) the monkeys or the dolphins reach a level of mental capacity comparable to our own, and then make the same mistakes we did.

They already exhibit hatred for rival communities, and would no doubt soon enough learn to abuse the planet's resources in the way we do.

Plus, if we die in nuclear armageddon, we'll take every living thing with us. Meaning that as a cancer on the planet, we win. We succeed. Is that what you want?

Now, my state has a currency called "the female body". So check this out in my latest issue:

"We remain critically short of blood plasma and various organs," says Fatuous Peasants One hospital administrator Pete Longfellow. "Especially hearts. A good heart is hard to find. But if we were allowed to pay for donations, we'd get more of them and could save more lives. Plus the donor takes home a few hundred Female bodys in compensation. Unless it's a post-mortem donation, of course. In that case we'd pay the family."

Hilarious.

Bang on Flanders.

Frustration and anger at seeing our potential wasted in the morass of hatred, intolerance, fear and loathing that is inherent in ourselves.

I dont see Goatboy's statement as depressed at all - I see it more as frustration.

Whatever we do and say we can change nothing, our leaders are hell bent on destruction, wether it be of other countries or of our own resorces. As a people we are intent on ever increasing our consumption of this wonderful planet that we have been given and we will end up with nothing left to eat, drink and fuel our little house if we carry on destroying the planet the way that we are.

I do hope Goatboy never runs for Prime Minister.

"Thankyou for all voting me in. My first act as Prime Minister will be to demilitarise out nuclear arsenal."

*rapturous applause*

"...by launching our missiles at ourselves!"

*sound of a hundred thousand feet running away*

It's not depression.
I'm not sitting here weeping or reading Sylvia Plath. I have a big smile on my face and have just ordered a DVD.

It's not defeatist to wish global destruction on a catastrophic event. It's a desire to see a fresh start. Because the ones here have been killing each other since we swung through trees.
We are surrounded by complacency, bigotry, pious lecturers, murderers, thieves, dictators, hatred, religious zealotry, intolerance, greed, stupidity, child abuse...you name it and we do it.

I see us as redundant.
We present a threat to this delicate ecosystem and we're being faded out. Earth is a living organism, and like any organism it's priority is survival to viral infection.
That's us.
So in place of white-blood cells, this living planet has come up with aids, ebola, cancer, floods.
If even the planet on which we reside is trying to kill us, why not help her along?
We don't do anything but multiply and produce waste. We dont help this planet, we use all the resources and just move along.

We belong in same category as cancer. An organism that exists and serves only 1 purpose - destruction.
And the sooner the better, for the sake of this planet and animals.
We've deluded ourselves that by developing cogniscent thought, we're evolved and higher-beings.
But we're not.
We're just better equipped to kill each other.

And so it shall happen. Sooner rather than later hopefully.

The Doors sang "You get yours and I'll get mine, no-one here gets out alive" and that's true.
In the meantime we pontificate about how horrid the earth is whilst cramming food jammed with chemicals into our fat lazy faces.
We spend our time inside watching the television instead of interacting with real people. We allow fascist rule to place tanks on our streets and restrict our liberty in the name of freedom.
We are kept seperated and segregated through use of fear and hatred of those different to ourselves. We view other races with suspicion and loathing. National newspapers indulge in racial stereotypes, they keep you scared about immigrants coming over here so you hate them.

This planet should function on total love and understanding for each other. Yet it exists based on outdated religions that operate through guilt-inductment and fear of reprisals, it wants to keep us frightened and indoors so that we dont take this world for ourselves and refuse to live in peace. Instead we concern ourselve with getting the most money and nice house, surrounding ourselves with family and locking the door because of the "bad people" out there.

We are governed by liars and murderers who's only agenda is to keep us stupid, watching television and sucking down beer whilst shouting at someone from another culture.
I am disgusted by our behaviour and wish to see us flailing in the muck like the barely evolved lungfish we are.

If you're reading this and thinking "Jesus he's miserable" then you've missed my point. Instead of looking at me and wondering what's wrong, look into yourself and ask when the last time you committed a random act of kindess was? Or told your parents you loved them? Or expressed gratitude to a mate who helped you out/did something for you?

No, it's much easier to go to work (in fear of a non-existent recession) until 5pm, come home and watch a soap opera whilst clucking about Saddam Hussein and how bad it all is.
We deserve no quarter for our behaviour towards each other.
And the sooner some retard fascist like Bush or Blair or Hussein or Mugabe or Bin Laden thinks "I'm going to heaven for this" and launches a nuke?
The better, because just before that moment you are obliterated, you'll ask "why? Why did this happen" instead of asking "What did I do with my life"

We're a disease.
End of story.

Well, I'm not so defeatist as Goatboy, people have been predicting our own ahhnilation for ages, and it never happens, and it won't for some time. For everyone who sees these times as reason to give up, to surrender hope, there are people who don't, and thats where the hope is. Personally I think Goatboy's outlook on life is about the most depressed I've ever heard anyone ever. Is it really that bad ? No.
