The New Jimmy here, y question today:
Should Special Reserve staff be able to win Gameaday and Filmaday????
I think that if we cant produce anything good that day, i.e. our contributions are dire then they should be able to win, what do you think?????
No, I don't have a fridge in my office, but I do have one in my bedroom at home!
The main feature of my office is the rather large amount of outstanding paperwork spread across the meeting table. Oh - and we have five Macs between the two of us, and not a PC in sight.
Bored people need to know!
And I'm not allowed to tell them off any more. In fact it's not called "telling off" any more, it's called "constructive dismissal". The staff can tell me off though!
OK, so I exagerate.
It would not be fair to staff to exclude them as this is not about sending in crisp packets. It's all about the best of the contributions, which take time to write.
I would prefer to encourage our staff to use the discussions and obviously it would be best if they were anonymous, like everybody else on the site.
What's more, we do not want to encourage the staff to pretend to be their cousins or somebody else in order to make a submission, or so that they can win a game.
Because it is based on contributions, it would be very easy indeed for the management here to spot if there was any favouritism. In fact it would probably be harder for a member of staff to win than one of our customers.
Having said that, I can confirm that only a very very few of the Gameaday prizes have been won by staff.
Employees and employees families of Walkers Crisps can not claim the prize
Therefore, to make it fair, Special Reserve employees shouldn't be able to claim!
Don't get me wrong! The SR crew deserve every prize in the bag but it wouldn't be fair to all the members!
>That would give you a better chance of winning, Tony, as you would be unknown to whoever was choosing the winner!
Me not trying to win. I made a couple of reasonable attempts during the charity thing, but aside from that you'll just see short replies from me.
