Hey Wookie I got one of these, man; I wasn't impressed!
The S-video looked barely better than the Composite and nowhere near as good as the RGB.
maybe there's too much signal loss through the adapter.
However, the adapter has stereo audio out, composite video out, s-video out AND a pass-through with a standard ps/ps2 av socket. Therefore I've got both the s-video flylead AND my PS1 RGB lead connected to the adapter, so I no longer have to swap cables for DVD, I just have to change tv av input channels.
WARNING !! ON THE BOX FOR THE ADAPTOR IT WARNS YOU NOT TO CONNECT TWO ADAPTORS AT THE SAME TIME; I DON'T KNOW WHETHER THIS MEANS TWO ACTUAL ADAPTOR BLOCKS DAISY-CHAINED TOGETHER (using the passthrough) OR WHETHER IT MEANS CONNECTING TWO DIFFERENT LEADS.
However, as the rgb and s-video use different pins on the ps2 av plug, i don't see how it makes a difference.
If in doubt, don't do what I'm doing...I take no responsibility!!!!
I've already got a Multi-Region DVD player, so that part doesn't really intrigue me, so since the titles work fine under Scart I'll go with that.
Besides, my Dreamcast is using the S-Video out ;) Which I must say, is on par with a Scart connection.
