So here it is.

After months of work, teams of researchers have have up with a new genre of gaming to keep us entertained.

This genre is:

Clean 'em-ups!

The first game in this genre will be used to test the market, and is yet untitled, though it currently has the working title of Keeping up Appearances. This is thought to change before release so as to not confuse it with the naff sitcom of the same name.

The basic story for the game is that your character has just recieved a phone call, the in-laws are coming to stay, but the house is a mess!

You have 4 hours in which to get tidy, and impress the in-laws!

Each level would be a different room of the house, and the game could be played in a number of different houses in order to give lastability.

Each room is thought to have a number of hidden bonuses, such as extra points for baking cakes in the kitchen.

There are also some fiendish end of level bosses, such as the dust-bunnies under the bed, and that fearsome floater than needs sinking in the loo!

If this goes down well there could be many more clean em-ups on there way to your PC or console!

Just think, a South Park version of this would rock. The end of level boss in the bathroom would of course be Mr.Hankey, and you have to spray cleaner onto all the 'spots' on the wall, while trying to force him in the loo. And in ya bedroom, you could have the killer goldfish from the parellel universe. Cool game. Can you imagine a Turok version, lol. I AM TUROK........in a tabard.

Imagine the fury of your parents / partner, when they see you desperately trying to clean up the in-game house, when you won't lift a finger to help around the real house!

Hmmm...
Sounds a lot like how I used to play Theme Park.
"The ride is on fire you say? Hold on, I've just got to put the handyman out to clean the litter on the path by the pokey cola..."
