I've looked for quite a long time now, but I can't find the right one - what I need is a set of 5.1 speakers that supports Pro Logic II, DTS and Dolby Surround, and that works with the PC, GC and PS2. I've come across some that meets most of these requirements, but not all. A volume control on the speaker or subwoofer would also be nice, but I suppose that's being too greedy.
In answer to the first question, have a look at the Alchemist Dolby Digital amplifier, at www.richersounds.co.uk for £150.
Yer, it makes sense. Sub plugs in, L/R plug into that.

Depends. If they come with a centre speaker then most probably there will be a seperate connection for that and the sub, otherwise the sub will almost certainly run off the l/r speaker inputs.

Erm, I'm buying a set of 2.1 speakers, do they have 3 seperate connections? Like, one for the sub, and one each for the 2 satellite speakers?
