After reading some reports suggesting that Beckham is after £100,000 a week, do you think he is worth it or is he just a money seeking, attention grabbing idiot??
In his defence he has spoken up and insisted that he has not even opened talks with Man U yet about a new contract or even mentioned a salary. The papers just to belittle football teams, players or generally anyone who is doing well. It is fashionable at the moment to s**g someone off when they are doing well. In this country we are not allowed to be good at anything, if we are we are greedy, taking drugs or worse.. why else would the press want to start stories and initiate hate for someone who is successful?

Even if Arsenal and Liverpool could beat Man Utd though, they can't beat half of the other naff Premiership teams that Man Utd cruise past.

Frankly, I think all footballers are given a ridiculous amount of money for doing almost nothing. Roy Keane is on something like £72,000 a WEEK - it would take most people about 5 years to earn what he does in 7 days. How can they justify getting paid so much when there is so much poverty in the UK and around the world? Roy Keane in particular annoys me, saying that most fans can't even spell football - what the ones who pay hundreds of pounds for season tickets year after year and pay your inflated wages?
No-one is worth the amount these players are on and sooner or later, someone will turn around and realise what a scandal it is.

If Man U are willing to pay that much surely he is worth it! Top American sportsmen get over £200,000 a week so who are we to complain..we are all just jealous, after all he has it all really!!
Who really cares what someone earns - just let them get on with the job in hand. I could be honest and complain that nurses etc should be on this money but there is no way this will ever happen so why go on?
