I thought it was quite good. Not the all-out comedy I was expecting, which is a good thing. Quite heart-warming, but bizarre in many a place. But how many celebs were in it though! Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus, there were loads!
I've only watched it once so excuse the briefness, but I though it was alright. I really didn't "get" Rushmore (apart from the O.R. Scrubs gag, genius), but this was was a little more mainstream and benefited from it. I think Anderson is great at overcomplicating things, and he really doesn't need to. If he sat down and tried to write a more conventional, linear film he benefit both financially and in the final product.
I didn't enjoy it at all.

I quite liked it too, though the excellent Bill Murray was very underused.
My favourite bit was Ben Stiller wearing the black tracksuit at the funeral. Hilarious.
