I ain't one to knock England, but basically the team is crap. On paper with all the top-class players, it looks like it should work. But it doesn't and even with a good manager Sven Goran Eriksson in charge it'll be ages before England is as good as France or Italy- if ever. So I wouldn't bother booking any tickets to the 2002 world cup if you're counting on seeing England there. Really England should just take a break for a couple of years, sort themselves out and come back to shock all the other teams. As it is, no-one fears England any more, even a country like Romania with all the problems it has can beat us. We're a rich country with some great premiership clubs who do ace in Europe so what the hell is going wrong?
