I have an old PC at home and my Mrs managed to flood it with water the other day, I thought it would dry out and be fine but it's not. No problem, I will get another one except the motherboard only has a AT style keyboard connector, would this part allow me to connect a PS/2 style keyboard ?

or does anyone know where I can get a cheap AT or USB keyboard (the only AT ones I can find are wireless ones etc)

have found one, Ebuyer do a AT keyboard £2.12 plus vat - bound to be top quality eh !
Didn't fancy having a convertor sticking out the back of the PC.

You can get AT to PS2 converters, best bet is to try Maplins if you've got one nearby.
