I remember reading in a magazine once, probably NOM (my bad), that there was a connectery thing that let you play, like, eight player mario cart and stuff. What hapopened to those. I don't see them on sr, does anyone know if they ever made them? And do they need specific game & tv support? Could I use them on any four player game, like SSBM, or F-zero?

As far as I'm aware, the only two games that allow you to connect 2 Gamecubes together are Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (allowing 8 players instead of 4) and 1080: Avalanche (allowing 4 players instead of 2). Of course, I could be completely wrong.

I assume you need either a 56k adapter or a broadband adapter in each Gamecube, and a cable of some sort (ethernet, maybe?) to connect them together. Personally I don't think it's worth the bother. The adapters are like £40 each for starters. Plus it seems to be hard to get hold of them now, which makes sense as I doubt that more than a handful of people even bought them in the first place, what with the only online Gamecube game being Phantasy Star Online I & II.
