The Free Republic of The Blue is a large, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 26 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass -- devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Commerce and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 42%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Pizza Delivery.

It is illegal to make racist remarks in public, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, the government is seen to favor Catholics, and the blue tiger is a protected species. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The Blue's national animal is the blue tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Blue.

This is why we are known as The Holy Empire Of Questionable Morality.

With this set up, I should have no problem recruiting a police force or finding evidence to convict criminals, despite the complete lack of any minimum wage laws. That's how to run an economy, folks...
