Ever since THQ took over the WWF license, Wrestling games have taken a big step. WWF Smackdown was incredible, the playability was great. So was its sequel WWF Smackdown 2: Know Your Role. New matches were included and a very detailed season mode too. But if you could create a Wrestling Game what would it be called and what matches included. Heres my idea:
My game would be called Smackdown 3 (Pretty boring I know but the Smackdown series are great). It would include options like exibhition, season and things like that. Along with every wrestler currently around adnd a few old classics you would still be able to create a wrestler with your face on it by using the scanner soon coming out (like they're doing with ISS Evolution). You would also be able to create taunts by recording into the microphone/speaker that would be included in the game. You could even sing your wanted entrance theme in too! If a wrestler were to leave or a new one to join, get a new outfit or even if the wrestler changed his/ her entrance music you would be able to download the new stuff via the PS2's broadband capabilities.
The number of matches would be increased with all the originals entered too. The Royal Rumble would be able to handle any number of participants in the ring at one time as will all the other matches. There would be matches like 6 man Hell-in-a-Cell or even 10 men or 20! There would be all the tag teams being able to compete in TLC matches and you could chose to run people down if you really wanted! Also there would be a possibility of disqualifications as chairs would be lying around the outside of the rings. Also wrestlers could become injured after falling off ladders or being ran over. There would be commentary occasionally with wrestlers coming to commentate too. All the commentators and Referees will be interactive so putting J.R. or Earl Hebner through a table will be possible! There would also be a Scenario mode new to this edition. It would allow a beaten superstar to try and change history and win the match. For example Rikishi being thrown off the top of a Hell-in-a-Cell at Armageddon to get back up and clinch the victory. In Anywhere falls matches everything will be interactive and you will be able to go into peoples Dressing Rooms and stuff. You will also be able to save your classic matches and watch a selection of real matches over and over.
There will be plenty of moves and Double Team moves will be greatly improved. This means it would be possible for Buh Buh Ray and D'Von Dudley to 3D a rival superstar through a table.
There would be perfect graphics. The fans would move individually and people would hold banners for which ever superstar was their favourite. The graphics in ring would be incredible with superstars bleeding when taking substantial blows to the head, arm or even leg!
I'm sure this game would be a revolution. Wouldn't you enjoy Chokeslamming your boss you just created through the top of a Hell-in-a-Cell then picking him up smacking him round the face with a chair then doing the Crippler Crossface on them until they submit!!!!! Lets hope a WWF Smackdown 3 or any other wrestling game will soon come out on the Playstation 2 and if one does I hope it includes all the stuff I've mentioned!!!!!!!!!!
