I have to say that I find this version of the song truly awful.
I quite like the original, but this just doesn't agree with me.
I could have told you it was Don Hemley, but you've already got that, not sure about the other lyric!

Okay, I've found the original version - by Don Henley. But it doesn't have that specific lyric in it.
But I'm sure I remember it correctly - maybe someone else made a different song to the same tune, or at least a very similar one?
