Tickets for Queens of the Stone Age went on sale this morning at about 9, for Brixton Academy in June. Hurry though, don't know if there's any left.

Erm something that annoyed me... I bought a few Clash albums last year and most were £5... when I went into the same shop the other day they had gone up in price.

No, what I was intimating was that a whole heap of people have suddenly got into QOTSA since Dave Grohl did guest-sessioning on that album and "No One Knows" gets rotation beyond belief on Kerrang TV.

Same with my stupid girlfriend who "loves QOTSA". I played their 1st album/EP and got "Who's this? It's rubbish"

It's got nothing to do with commercial success/talent/liking, it's got to do with silly trendy people that have the latest album tucked alongside The Strokes, The Hives, Rush of Blood To The Head and the latest Rolling Stone magazine laying open at the article that promotes the latest new thing.
Same people that went about bought The Clash albums when Strummer died, think that "rock is like, so last year" and think The Datsun/Hives/Hot Hot Heat are really cool and don't own a single Stooges album.

It's people trying to be cool by proxy.
But not anyone here, because we've been talking about good music forever.

Bah, you were making out that way and you know it. Anyway, I'm fully aware of Kyuss AND my hoodie hasn't got Slipknow on the back, so I am cool. And I'm going to see QOTSA. Hopefully Snuggly didn't get confused and book tickets for 'Raging Queens of the Stone Ages'...
