Will Self's book about some dead woman. Can't remember it's name, but the description really interested me.
Will Ferguson: Happiness, again, I knew nothing about this until I saw it in a shop the other day, and apparently it's a satire involving self-help groups, thought it was worth a read.
Chuck Palhaniuk: Survivor I've read that some of you guys like his stuff, so I thought I'd try one out.
Harry Hill: Flight From Deathrow. I like Harry Hill, but the blurp on the back of this book just sounded wrong. I had to order ti.
Steven King/ Peter Straub: Black House, well I like SK, so thought this was worth reading.
Irvine Welsh: Glue. I've read all of his other books, so thought I'd get this one. Actually, that's a part truth, I'm only part way through Porno, but I'm enjoying it.
That'll keep me reading most of the way through the year. :o)
Less than 24 hours after I placed the order.
Just 1st class mail too!
That rules!
The Will Self book is called "How the dead live" interesting.
Think I'll read Glue first though, as I'm used to Welsh's style at the mo.
Borrowed it from the school library last Tuesday, should finish it by about Friday. Good book, just requires a lot of thinking to go with it.
After that, I shall have to scour the shelves to find something entertaining to read next that hasn't been deemed "unsuitable for the school environment".
Actually, I have my own book case, full of books in my old bedroom (the attic) but they're all Point Horrors and stuff, which I used to read when I was a young teen. Must have about 50 books up there, but the only ones I brought down with me when I moved rooms were Better Than Life and Backwards (Red Dwarf books) and Jurassic Park and The Lost World (not the kiddy ones by the way) And I recently got mesel' the Star Wars trilogy, Band Of Brothers, D-Day and Bravo Two Zero. About half way through Band Of Brothers, it's good and adds a lot more detail than the TV series (being uncultured, I saw the series first)
:)
The books I got were
From a Buick 8 (Stephen King)
Across the Nightingale Floor (Lian Hearn)
And 2 Buffy Script books. (quite interesting) :)
