This might be a start we've been waiting for.......the new kind of PC/console we've been looking for which we can do our work on, or have a game on.
Maybe it won't be as good as other Gaming consoles, but this sort of innovation is needed if you want a future with new technology. Maybe Lightsabers will be created in the future, as quaser like arenas maybe. The X-Box like they say is different from other consoles in the market it might be the new technology we've been looking for to gain ideas.
That's what we need the most a big boost and maybe the X-Box might be the one to do that.

I am a little concerned about all the peripherals though, I mean yes we want them but not for £20 if they are $20 over seas...us english folk know a thing or two, shame about the Scots, Paddy's and Taff's though..ha ha ha ha.
Anyway I think I am being sold on this X-Box shinanagence! I could really take to a simple quick version of Windows 2000. 8 second loading times sound good to me!!!
I wonder if there will be an upgrade, I guess we will have to wait until E3...ohh...that is all the way in May...that is a lot of petrol!
I wonder if they will go back in time and release say Age of Kings or somethig like that, or maybe PC games will be compatible! Coooooooooooolllllll!!!!!
The Game...Posting Quality Material Starting in July 2001
Sorry Meka....ha ha ha ha!!!
The X-Box is not designed to be a PC. So you will still be better off running the mainstream titles like Encarta, Britannica and such on a PC.
The peripherals required to use the X-Box as a PC would have to include a keyboard, mouse etc adding to its cost.
Free broadband in the UK? I can't wait. The reason is, the human lifespan is about 3 score years and 10. By the time BT allow free broadband on these shores I will have become an curious fossil for a future generation, and not necessarily a human one.
The X-Box has a new OS, which means that any decent software packages currently in use would have to be completely re- oded for X-Box use.
Personally, I think the X-Box should not try to diversify so much. It should prioritise its uses, Games 1st, Internet 2nd, Education 3rd, then whatever. You have to admire Microsoft for their vision, but a vision this big you have to get right first time. If Microsoft manage to do that it will be a miracle, but the world will be a much better place for it.
How about a system that you plug into the mind.
Then it would seem like you were really there.
Then, anything would be possible...
