I submitted my site with google and now i have a couple of questions:
1) Why does it say what it says in the first few lines of my html and not what it says in my meta tags? (my meta tags are working as i have checked them many times)
2) Why doesnt it show up in searches at all even when i search for it using all my keywords?
3) If i change what it says in my meta tags or in my first few lines of html will it automatically change in google (ie google checks what it says on my site every search) or does google store it in some sort of database?
4) How does google, yahoo, altavista and other search engines rank?

Stores a cache of every page it has indexed, it uses these to pick out keywords...
Give it time to update, it does it every 4 weeks so don't expect anything to happen everynight!
It ranks the pages on how amazing the owner is...
