I'm talking about the new film due for release this friday - "Undercover Brother"

I've seen a couple of trailers for it now and each time I've found myself chuckling at certain bits.

It has a good chance of being a blockbuster hit over here, not too sure how well it did in America though, but I'm guessing it would have done rather well.

It seems to place too much emphasis on skin colour.

Probably funny though.

Austin Powers doesen't go around saying hes white, and that Beyonce Knowles is black......

And as we all know, media doesn't have ANY effect on how people think, does it?

That the Daily Mail does nothing to stuff like this makes it seem so acceptable...

But that's the film's only joke.

"Hey, look how much of a stereotypical 70s black guy I can be... ermmm... Homey".

Don't turn the thread into a racism debate, please.

No-on really links black films to outside related issues anyway, it's just a film, and it looks like a very funny one at that. As long as the black actors aren't complaining why should we?

Why do black men so readilly throw themselves into films where they will become the butt of "but he's black" jokes and other related material, and then go away and complain how the world is racist despite having just encouraged millions of people to laugh at racist jokes?

Another film I'll avoid the plague. It'll be full of cliche-ridden jokes and quips, the likes of which serve to send me into furious rages rather than entertain me.
