I don't really look up to people, but that doesn't say I don't admire people. No wait that's the same thing :S.
Hayao Miyazaki - A wonderful story teller, a making of incredible films, he's a genius and I love all his work. I guess I'm not the only one for admires the guy.
Steve Irwin - Sadly we lost him but I guess I do look up to him, he was a wonderful caring guy, he loved what he did, was such a character and the world could use many more like him
I look up to various people for various different reasons and the qualities they possess. Off the top of my head here are the main few:
My parents - for the stable and happy upbringing they gave me and teaching me how to be a good person and member of society
Winston Churchill - Leadership and spirit
Brian Clough - Confidence and self belief in your abilities
Steven Hawkings - For showing that even in the face of adversity you can still achieve incredible things
Vee - Total dedication and much self sacrifice for her 2 (soon to become 3) boys. I've much admiration for her doing this difficult 24/7 job which I personally would struggle to do if be able to do it at all. Sometimes when I sit here having a quiet strop to myself about a report etc that has to be done before I can go home and I'll be here way after my official going home time I put myself in check to remind myself that the extra effort and sacrifice I've got to put in pales in comparison to the effort and sacrifice she makes for her boys. Maskes me feel a bit selfish really!
An old workmate called Dave - he grew up in a poor single parent family with a mother who didn't really want him and saw him as a burden and he fell into trouble with the law before becoming homeless aged about 20. 7 years later he had a good job and a family of his own to show that you can turn your life around no matter where you are in life or how many troubles and crap you have at the minute
