Some of them claim they did after not recieving a bill for the first few quarters, but freely admit they didn't chase it up when they still didn't get anything.
Why does this problem exist? Because the companies that these people join from don't pass the customer details correctly, probably out of spite, and so we don't have the right information. The customer then refuses to give the proper information to us "because we should have it already" and then get all high and mighty when they don't get billed properly.
People are too stupid to live.
We phoned them on tuesday and our heating was fixed on wednesday (OK, so we hadn't had hot water or heating for two weeks, but we were to lazy to call it in, so it twas our fault).
You're not the only British Gas customer, you know.
