I really wanted the GAMECUBE to have one of those cool DVD trays like in car stereos, u know the ones with no front that have a very thin slit to slide the disc in. Instead we have got a 1995, dodgy plastic mechanics CD Stereo lid type thing that opens up like one of those dodgy 32 bit Consoles!

I think Nintendo have screwed up with this I hate putting CD's in like that it looks crap and they make that horribe sound when they open like cds smacking a wall...you'll understand if you have ever thrown a CD at a wall,...If not then Ignore that last bit!

But I think that haveing a tray instead of a lid is a very big factor that SONY and Microsoft have over Nintendo, not that it will stop people buying the console I just think that the Gamecube could be a little more attractive!

The Game

PS: I am NOT getting a PINK gamecube, I can't stress this enough!!! Pink consoles are not right, I just hope my stupid sister doesn't get one!

I've had a lot of low flying eject buttons, but I put that down to too much turkey this year.

Ar, but if you put an action figure in front of one of the slide out cd player things then it knocks ift over.

Beats the MnMs trick!

The main advantage of 'lid' over 'slidy-eject-thingy' is that 'lid' is very low maintenance and therefore less likely to malfuncion, as the PS2 has shown the 'slidy-eject-thingy' is prone to doing.

It's also cheaper to manufacture.

You could put M&Ms on the top, and press eject...

Look at them fly!

You can't do that with a silly slot thing. I think Nintendo made a wise descision by sticking with a superb M&M shooting pop up lid.

Great.
