Was looking in a few shops before getting the train home.

Seen Splinter cell and Delta force black hawk down.

just wanted to know if anyone has played a demo on either of these or has been paying any attention to either and can say if they are worth getting or are just crap.

If I get time I'll try splinter cell demo next week but it does look good but that aint everything.

Seem a review on it and it was glowing.

Couldn't get the Splinter Cell demo to work, even on my new beast of a computer. I'd go for Black Hawk Down, I've played a single player demo of it and it's great fun, much better than the Delta Force games which came before it.

Well, for a start, Splinter Cell requires system specs well in excess of anything it should do (something like 1.6Ghz for min spec), which is totally unjustifiable, given the graphics and gameplay that you get out of it.

It may have been revolutionary for console owners, but for PC, it's just run-of-the-mill. Some people might get a kick out of it, but that's because they're stupid.

Never heard much on either, just splinter cell from its XBox fame but until today never paid any attention to either of them.

Might wait till they actually get released to see what others think.
Or until champ manager comes out. Then no other game will really matter.

I know that, in terms of PC gaming, Splinter Cell is a substandard pile of over-hyped toss.

I've never been a fan of the delta force games either...
