Does anyone know which would be the best type of video format for using on the Internet to allow the file to be as small as posible, yet keep some sort of decent picture.

Also, does anyone knowof any programs which can convert and compress video clips to this format?

I recently had to make some video files for the internet and I found .mpeg to be about 10 times smaller than .AVI, whilst retaining more or less the same quality.

DivX is a modification to AVI.

Yeh,divx is popular,ive noticed that most movies i download are .AVI and there good quality too, why,u putting somet on a website
