I caught an episode of Monkey last night, for the first time since I was a kid.

I was just wondering if anyone could answer a question on it.

Is the translation from Japanese relatively accurate? It's just that some of the dialogue was really odd. Like when Pigsy spoke about sniffing women's clothes, when he really could have been just wiping his face.

Anyone know?

Caught the film on TV.

Well, the DVDs have one extra episode each in the original Japanese, with subtitles. So all you need to do now is buy one and find someone who speaks the language to tell you how accurate the subtitles are.

I was sooo tempted to get the whole thing on DVD after seeing the first four episodes again, but there's no way I'd get them past my wife.

Everything I know I learnt off Monkey, so who am I to doubt the translation.
