...my PC crashes everytime I put in a CD-ROM or DVD?
When I insert the DVD/CD-ROM the annoying blue screen comes up telling me to press any key to continue, I do so then my PC freezes. As I result to that I have to restart the damn thing. HELP!

update the drivers?
The blue screen of death?
As in a fatal error exception?
I would suggest re-installing the drivers for the device, its obviously trying to do something that It can't complete.
Also worth checking that it is correctly connected and that the wires are not loose or damaged in any way.
