Just bought a new PC (Advent 3321) and everything was fine until I bought a HP PSC 2210 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier/fax/expresso machine. The problem is this: if I boot up my PC with the printer switched on (remember it's a fax machine, too) then the PC doesn't even gets to the POST screen. If I turn the printer off first, though, it boots up fine and everything (printer, scanner etc.) works fine when I switch the printer back on again. Any ideas?

A few points ...
... it (the printer) has got slots for memory cards (Compact Flash, Smart Media etc.) which shows up in Windows as a removable drive
... the printer is USB 2 but I don't think the PC is
... I've already tried different USB ports
... the keyboard and mouse are USB, too
... I'm a bit annoyed by it

So, do I need to change any settings (USB legacy etc.) or what?

Thanks in anticipation,

Tim
