And I'm not talking about saddam's weapon of mass destruction!!!

Emulation is good, but it is nothing compared to running the actual games! Some of your favourite childhood arcade classics can be bought into your home with just a little time and skill.
I love old arcade games and I have a few arcade boards, but only WWF Superstars is working at the moment. I haven't got an arcade machine to play them on, but I built a Jamma Super gun to play them with.

It took a week to build, and personally I think it's just as good as any console!! It runs on a regualar Scart t.v. (or monitor), and you can use any of your favouite joysticks/joypads with minor modifications. It can play any arcade game that is Jamma compatible, and just about every game released during the 80's is Jamma.
Remember classics like Double Dragon, Final Fight, Nemesis, Robocop, Streetfighter 2 etc.... They all work on the Super gun (the standard name for home arcade rig). It didn't cost me too much to build (£40), and the boards can be bought for between £20 for more recent, less collectible ones and £hundreds for classics.
I'd recommend anyone who is into retro gaming to build one!

It's worth it, and if you can wield a soldering iron it's not too difficult.
Good luck if you decide to do it!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
