See the topic "Is Sony leading me up the garden path? Help?!!" elsewhere on this forum for suggestions at solving this 'problem'.

FYI, it's not only the PS2 that has this problem - my dedicated player also required volume adjustment.

to adjust the DVD volume on PS2 simply enter set up and ensure that in the audio section , digital optical out is set to off . you can then adjust the DVD volume.

in reply to the multi region issue
you can get them chipped but I found something in the dvd menu
in the custom options section of setup there is a parental control section where you can select the dvd region & other stuff but you have to enter a 4 digit code to access it and I dont want to enter a wrong code incase it locks up the ps2 like if you enter a wrong pin code 3 times with mobile phone.
does anyone know anything else about this???
