So far, so good, Netscape is performing better than IE did, no errors at all in the first hour of use, so I hope that's the norm and it's going to stay that way. It's just getting over the new layout of things that takes a bit of getting used to, but overall I've adjusted to it and am getting used to browsing with a slightly different font and layout (I've used nothing but Internet Explorer ever since I first went online 5(?) years ago.
Did I do good or does Netscape come with a host of problems that they didn't tell me about in thier glossy writeup on the download page?
..in a nutshell..
Mozilla will always be better.
It's annoying, because - once again - Microsoft implemented their own features that were non-standard (i.e. not W3C compliant), while Netscape has always been 100% 'legal'.
It's now been about 18 months since I even had Netscape installed, so I don't know if they've accounted for these issues in Netscape or not.
It's indevidual Web Pages that sometimes may be a problem. Because MS have coded in little extra's in IE which arn't in Netscape, you may find some web pages look awful in Netscape but cool in IE.
Appart from that, I've had no problems with Netscape at all.
