Seems like from the age of 14 children can choose from the likes of plumbing, hair dressing etc as long as they continue to study maths, english and science.

Good or bad?

It is obvious that certain kids just aint interested and usually not able to stick it out. Teaching them skills they actually will need for later life seems like the best way to go.

Wonder if in a few years there will be classes like amatuer pole dancing, pimping, dodgy dealing and the ever so popular macdonalds worker.

Any views on this?

If they should teach them anything, it's sex education.

What we have today is a bunch of filthy, repugnent, benighted reprobates running around under the fallacious impression that sex is something teenagers do to while away the lonely hours between classes they won't attend anyway and that the lads can't get a girl pregnant simply because their sperm know that they don't have jobs yet and can't provide for a child.

This bunch of maggot ridden, uninitiated degenerates are being left with no future bar that of a drain on the countries taxes which people like me have to hand off so that they can feed their bástard children.

I disagree - all it will do is create a nation of foolish idiots that will take no interest in "proper" subjects. We have the worst education system in the whole of Europe!

*Reverts to Uncle Albert mode*

In my day, you studied hard and then picked your subjects from the third year onwards. These subjects didn't include simplistic things like hairdressing which students could learn at college anyway.

I think it's a great idea as people can actually learn something that will proove useful later in life, and if they try something and don't like it at least several years of their adult life hasn't been wasted!

Yes, we could groom some grade A pimps to run the Crystal Palace Brothels.
Genius.
