The title says it all. Films that were (in my opinion) rubbish have got loads of extras, such as Chicken Run yet it's the good films that come off with rubbish dvds. Some brilliant films have loads of extras on the DVD which is good because you get a wider perspective of the film which you, such as Gladiator and House On Haunted Hill. However really good films have hardly any extras, A Night At The Roxbury has only 1 trailer and that's it, The Last Boy Scout and The Waterboy have no extras what so ever. What are the Star Wars DVDs gonna be like, the best double trilogy (when it comes on dvd it'll be in a 6 dvd box set) in history and it will only have 1 trailer on each of the DVDs and that's it. Even though there are many players you just can't stop great films appearing on a rubbish dvd. The Playstation 2 DVD player doesn't contain the best quality of picture and sound and what's more is it nackers your dvd up, I put a new dvd in there, scratch free and the film stopped halfway through and I took the disc out and it was covered in scratches. Some players are excellent and you can buy one that now fits inside a pack of crisps. Some DVDs have the promise of loads of extras and a quote on the front which says "Guarenteed the best film you'll ever watch" and then it turns out to be rubbish. The DVDs for the kids seem to be the most packed with dvds, for example the Stuart Little DVD had loads of extras on it where as all 5 alien discs didn't have half of the amount of Stuart Little combined. The most promising dvd at for the future (at time of publication) is the Terminator 2 DVD which has Special Features
Amazing extras include three versions of the main feature.
'The Making Of T2' Featurette.
'T2: More Than Meets The Eye' Featurette.
'The Making of T2 3-D: Breaking The Scene Barrier' - an in-depth look into the making of the MCA/Universal theme park attraction, 'Terminator 2: Battle Across Time', with state-of-the-art technology and a seamless blend of film and live performances.
Additional features which cover every aspect of the 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' filmmaking process, from make-up to visual effects.
Cast & Crew Information.
Teaser Trailers.
Trailers.
Entire Screenplay.
Over 700 Storyboards.
Audio Commentary.
DVD-ROM Features
Note: All to be confirmed.

Never-before-seen footage has been added to the story of the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a cyborg sent back through time, who joins forces with Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), a woman haunted by nightmares of mankind's inevitable nuclear destiny. Together, they must protect her son John (Edward Furlong) - the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future - from the deadliest machine ever created, the liquid metal T-1000 (Robert Patrick).

'Terminator 2: Judgement Day - Ultimate Edition' restores over fifteen minutes of additional material to the original theatrical release of the film, including Sarah Connor's vision of the late Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), the reprogramming of the Terminator by John and Sarah, and the obsession of Mile Dyson (Joe Morton) to create the computer chip that could lead the world to nuclear destruction. These scenes, and more, enchance this tour de force of astounding visuals and powerful emotions to create a compelling new version of one of the biggest hits of all time.

The Americans definatly get the best of us on most dvds except for the odd few, House on Haunted Hill (1999) had the same amount of extras but the Star Trek DVDs had much more extras in America than it did here.
