I've recently heard the new Pratchett book, Nation (fantastic, you should read/hear it) but I really want an Autobiography.
I know Parky's one is supposed to be out soon, but has anyone else listened or read any decent ones recently?
Either that, or a decent book you've read recently that I can download.
Let me just pop over to Amazon and see some audio autobiography. Ooh David Niven would be really interesting, you remember him pb. Hmm there doesnt seem to be many audio biographies.
As for books, I'd probably read Paul O'Grady, Roger Moore, Richard Attenborough, Raymond Blanc and Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler :)
Alan Carr's one was hilarious.
I'd also like to hear the Douglas Adams Biography, narrated by Simon Jones and Tom Baker's Who On Earth, though I've already got a (signed) copy of that.
The other Autobiographies I've enjoyed in book form are Michael Sheard's books (Mr Bronson from Grange Hill as well as Dr Who and Star Wars) and I bought those off him when we met him. We actually sat with him for ages as he talked to us about his life, shame he's gone now.
Frank Skinner's was entertaining, Sting's was ok and Stephen King's 'on writing' was very useful and insightful.
Parkinson would be very interesting, I heard him talk on the radio about it. I think Jordans third biography is coming out soon.
