like usb 2.0 can be used with usb 1.1

wasnt the AGP 1x slots phisically slightly differant?, i have a feeling that they were.

I doubt u should look out for AGP 8x everytime... as long as ur mobo is AGP 2.0 and 2x it will work... oh and newer cards use more power so a good psu.

Um first of all check you have an AGP slot as not all AGP graphics have a slot but some are onboard AGP if this is the case (with lots of older computers especially those around 1 x AGP) then you will need a PCI card other than that all cards are backwards compatable including new 8x AGP although you wont get the full value of your cards abillity if its a newer one
