Well last night I finally got a chance to see my favourite band in Glasgow. And they rocked.
Anyone going to see them on this tour will have a lot to look forward too. I'll post a little review of it here so don't look if you don't wanna know what tunes they played.

Ok so the support act of Gemma Hayes was up first and she was really good. Some real good songs and a bit of a talk about some of them.

Then the counting crows appeared.
They sung

Have You Seen Me Latley
Richard Manuel Is Dead
Mr Jones
St Robinson
Goodnight Elis.. (Oh Susannah) version
Good Time
Rain King
New Frontier
A Long December
American Girls
Miami
Catapult
Round Here (with Alt lyrics! - very very cool!)
Encores
Hard Candy
Time & Time Again (superb)
Holiday in Spain

They were great, adam talked about some of the songs and reasons behind them, also introduced the new drummer who was playing his first gig.
I have heard a lot of versions of a few of the songs but the versions of mr jones and round here where the best I have heard. Mexcellent. :-P

I know there are a few on here who are big fans, so if you are seeing them then enjoy it.

Sometimes the band stay behind outside after the gig but I couldn't stay (had an exam this morning) but I don't think they were outside last night although other gigs may be different.

Best gig I have been too. Amazing.

Considering getting the gemma hayes album. Probably will.

Pb you will get to see them one day. I can't wait to see them again. Really am tempted to make an effort to go to the states to see them once uni is out the way.

{sob!} I really wanted to see them, guess I'll have to wait till next time and hope they'll be touring for many years to come. That's the breaks of living in the west country.

Glad you enjoyed it though.

Get the Gemma Hayes album, it rules.

Sounds like...well, like Jewel but less world-changing. Or like Garbage with acoustic guitars.

10 days until Wembley.

Not really, she is rather pleasant on the eye :-)
Well worth seeing, Can't think who she is like though

I know the SECC is poor but for some reason (don't know if it was the band or crowd) but people seemed to make more of an effort to make it good.

Some Mongs tried to squeeze in towards the start of the counting crows set and get in my way. I am about 5.11 but there were some huge tall guys who I had to get to move.
Also the folk who think they have a right to barge in to get a better view. Dislike that a lot. Especially since most had been waiting during the support act and some even quite some time before that.

Still I thought it was great.

Apparently some Glasgow paper mentioned that there last gig in the Barras wasn't that busy. My brother went and it was full, also very very warm due to so many folk. Adam mentioned this last night. Called the reported a nice array of names.

:-)

I think gigs just turns most blokes into animals. The sickest thing I've seen was at Finsbury Park when someone drank their own pisss :-s

Ohh, sounds good, glad you had a good time. I'm going to see them on Tuesday, this has just made me look even more forward to it, if that's possible. :D

Seems like a good set list, I hope they do Black And Blue when I see them, doubt they'll change it now though.

What's Gemma Hayes like, anyone you can compare her too?
