Absolutely fantastic. David Attenborough is a king.
I've always loved nature programmes, but stick Attenborough in and his endless enthusiasm and love for it really, really makes it worth watching.
The dolphins that charge fish onto the river banks ruled.
But...on a purile note.
The size of that whale's tool?
"12ft long and mobile". It looked like a mid-air refuelling arm. Wouldn't want to get in the way of that thing, I tell you.
And I ordered The Blue Planet 3-disc DVD set for £17.99.
Game on
The Orcinus Orca is favourite of mine and as such I reserve the right to call it a Killer Whale if I like. That said I'd never call an Orca: Willy. That would strip it of all it's poise and dignity.
Bull sharks are very aggressive and can often be found in rivers, which puts them into more scenarios with human contact. Great Whites have also been recorded in similar water courses but they are generally quite passive, conserving energy until the kill is possible. Many spend months stalking prey from below, then after they've killed and eaten they move to colder waters to slow their metabolsim and conserve energy again.
The smallest fish are the silver fish and they live in poor people's carpets.

I saw that on ITV a few weeks back, hilarious.
Attenborough truely is the god of wildlife shows though. Blue Planet was simply amazing watching.

Did you know that dolphins, like Orcas (not "killer whales") are part of the whale family?
Anyway, sharks > dolphins.
70% of all dolphins bear the scars of tiger shark attacks. You want a creature that is exhilarating to swim with? Get in the water with a great white (which is actually not the death sentence you might think), and you'll feel an adrenaline rush like no other.
Most dangerous shark? Bull shark. Tigers come a close second though. Nasty critters.
Biggest fish in the world is a shark - whale shark. yatta yatta.
Nature documentaries are all sex related anyway. I blame them for paedophiles. Mating this, egg laying that, spawning the other. Disgusting.

i remember that one! excellent work!
I'd love to swim with a Blue Whale, the leviathan of the ocean.
*In speccy mode" did you know that Killer Whales are not actually Whales but Dolphins? Hence their high IQ and co-operative hunting in Pods. Also Humpback whales release millions of tiny air bubbles when hearding krill, curtaining them off from escape and creating a mass of plankton to gobble in one go.
Irwin rocks too. I remember the first time I ever saw him was on his "P*ssing off the 10 most deadly snakes in Australia" prog. I couldn't believe that he was picking them up (by holding them in the middle of their body) and allowing them to strike at him.
Priceless
