Apparently, two years from the last time he did it, Duncan Ferguson has confronted another burglar in his own home and given him a pasting.

The police are investigating the allegations against Ferguson brought by the scum-bag who entered his house to steal.

I have to congratulate Ferguson once again for kicking the robber's head in. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who enters my house without permission to steal my possessions would get his face altered. I can't see why the police would need to investigate.

The law should deem that if you enter someone else's house i.e. trespass without permission, you are at their mercy.

Of course, with this being an internet forum, everyone should have an opinion. Go on.....

Anyone found braking into my house would be in hospital knocked out by a weight.

That would cause alot of damage to his brain, and would probably kill him. Thats if it landed on his head.

I'd have done the same if someone broke into my house!

But how can they honestly punish him for protecting what is his own, and stopping thieves??

Is it because he did the Police's job for them or something??

They seem to like Duncan Ferguson... This isn't the first time someone's broken into his house!

A scouse view on burglary? Surely you're not going to say that the burglar is allowed to give 48 hours notice of the event, so that the homeowners can buy some sedatives to take on the night so they don't hear anything?

I say good on him and you would have thought the burglar would have thought better of trying to rob Fergusons house after what happened to the last one.
However how much do you want to bet Ferguson and not the thief gets brought before a judge and gets punished for daring to actually defend his property. Now if he did that in America he'd probably be on the local news with everyone hailing him as some sort of hero for protecting his family and apprehending the thief who would actually be punished. Of course over here the thief will probably get compensation for getting hurt and Ferguson will be the one who gets punished. British justice eh? best in the world :-\

I'd have to agree, if anyone breaks into my house then they'd better make sure they've already got their subscription to Wheelchair Weekly!

My thoughts exactly.

Unfortunately, this is where the Human Rights act makes a mockery of itself. You are in the wrong if you use 'excessive' force, as you are violating the intruder's 'human rights'. Never mind the laws he's violating by being in your home uninvited - lay a finger on him, and you're the offender!

I've said it before on these forums, and I'll say it again - I agree 100% with the US law on this - if anyone enters your home illegally, you can use any means necessary to stop them. And rightly so.

I'd (hopefully) work them over and place something in their hand (knife etc.) before calling the police.

I think most people would share that view. I do anyways. What else can you do in that situation? Make em a cup of tea and tell them to wait while you ring for the police?!

I always keep potential weapons near me when I sleep just in case.
