Upon waking up on Monday the Chelsea groundskeeper was greeted with a pitch full of excited, drunk, rowdy Germans who had their beachtowels and deckchairs all over the ground. When asked to move the Germans told the groundskeeper that they had this beach booked for the next 6 months after seeing how good it was on the premiership highlights and would be holding the next beer fetival here. Not too enthusiastic about confronting a group of Germans having a good time Ken Bates has agreed to let them have the ground for the 6 months and told the FA they'll have to play away now for rest of the season.
Any reports about David Beckham crying about not being able to play in the sand have yet to be confirmed.
