But I didn't just bring you here for a song. The guitarist from The Who is involved in these allegations about child pornography, as you all know. And he admitted he used his credit card to enter a site - for research purposes. If he had time to research child pornography, then why didn't he have time to research the fact that "research" has never been allowed as a valid excuse in the courts before?
Apparently he needed to research it for a book, as he was abused as a child, but frankly I don't see how it would help. A spinal insert to the book? Is he hoping to find pictures of himself on there? All it could do is bring back painful memories, unless that's the point, to give him more emotional writing.
I really want to believe that he isn't guilty, and I still do really, but the odds are stacked against him. It'll be a miracle if he gets away with it and doesn't go the public-hatred way of Gary Glitter.
Thoughts anyone?

Heh, yeah they "just popped up" when he typed in the web address, clicked "Pay here", typed in his credit card details and clicked send.

Yes. I think if they have proof, he is a pedo, they should hang him. Or any pedo on that matter.
I want to believe he's inncoent too, and presumably he should be able to prove he was working on the book reasonably easily.
Legally, probably a soft sentence, plus celebrities seem to be treated like they're above the law by the courts anyway.
In the eyes of the public though, I think a lot will depend on how the tabloids treat it. Unfortunately.
