You can picture busy, non-savvy or just plain stupid folk seeing it in the shop for the "bargain" price, and decide to pick it up for their kid as a surprise. Followed by some crying and whining as the kid tears they're parent apart for being ripped off.
Can also be used as bait on the tube and in streets. Actually, I might give that a try. Imagine as the robber waits patiently, stalking me for a good hour while I play blissfully on my cool PSP. After going in for the kill, they run til out of breath, before finally realising the reward is some retarded clone manufactured by the millions in an illegal factory in China.
