Right I currently have Steam, HL2, CS etc etc etc installed on my C-Drive taking up about 10gigs. Just purchased a new hard-drive (D) which I intend to install all my games onto. This process is simple for most games, just a matter of uninstalling and reinstalling, then copying across the savegames etc. Although I have no idea how to do this with Steam etc, and really dont want to have to redownload every single update for every single game. So any advice would be lovely.

Wait nevermind, i'm using the backup facility then I'll just uninstall everything properly. I think. I'll go check the official site first i think...

yup, just install steam to the new drive, then copy across folder containing the games, there might be one or 2 small bits that need downloading but it will save to the hours of getting it all again.

At a complete guess, you could try installing Steam onto the new drive then copying and pasting the old Steam directory from the first drive over the new one on your new drive, and hoping for the best.

If that makes any sense.
