When using Explorer, you can personalise the grey bar at the bottom of the window (with a message or remove the forwarding URL etc) does anyone know the code to do this please ?

If you want a default message, in the body tag put onLoad="window.defaultStatus='Message'"

Also, if you want a message for each Link you have on your Page, simply add the window.status = "Whatever you want to put in the bar......"; bit into the Tag.

e.g.

onMouseOver="window.status='More Status Text'; return true;"
onMouseOut="window.status='';">Link

This display's the 'More Status Text' line when you move over the link, and clears it when you move off.

Put all that in the tags.

Don't put a scrolling marquee in there, they look really cack ;-)

My guess would be it requires the use of javascript but I'm not sure.
