I take it back - it's unplayable, not because of running speed, but because it's so low its jsut not worth it.
Can't see it being much fun anyway, it's got nothing on CS for runny-shooty action.

Aha, I got it running really well with EVERYTHING on low - it's like Lego Doom. Really weird because I turned my models to minimum and can't see my own gun.
I love this game - never expected much from the MP demo but it's one of the most fun multiplayers I've ever played.
We've been running a melee/pistol server with fast run speed the last few evenings that's hella fun - named Lizard's Pistol/Melee if anyone wants to try it out.

Nailgun + multiplayer = fun
Two guys from the other team walked around the corner to find me crouched and waiting nailed both their heads to the wall. remote mines are entertaining when you set them up on every entrance to your room and as soon as you see a shadow moving....... BOOM.
Multiplayers fun but in short bursts, i think the single player will be the main reason for getting this as i have DOD:S and BF2 for multiplayer fun.

Yeah, but c'mon, you saw my screens. Even BF2 runs in 800x600...
They have improved the performance a fair bit FPS is up alot and has a new benchmark demo for checking. i had everything on max apart from shadows on medium and AA set to 2 and 60% of my fps was over 50.
Hopefully this will mean the full release will run alot better on most peoples computers.
