I thought I'd inform you of something fairly important, and it is to do with the future of gaming.
At the moment there are games developers, publishers and console makers, as well as all the website designers etc. etc.
But did anyone tihnk who might be the games legends of tomorrow? I'm not talking about the next Sonic or Mario here you know - I mean the real life legends - the people who create the games that we are currently playing.
What will the games of tomorrow be like though? Will certain genres be forgotten, wiped out or even outlawed? Will videogaming become a thing of the past? Will anyone still be trying to complete Pac-Man in 2010?
The point I'm trying to make is that it is US, the games players of today who will become the new Yu Suzuki's, the new Yuji Nakas, there may even be someone who creates games that surpass the genial of Shigeru Miyamoto - quite possibly the greatest games designer the world has ever seen!
The very memebers of this disussions forum, who are quite clearly forming and thinking of new game ideas and genres already, could well be the millionaires, no, billionaires of the future.
I personaly think that this is a very exciting prospect, and all of you here should think of what I've said (if you don't mind). Those of us who venture into the world of gaming are in for a treat, it may take a while to get to the top, but if you have the patience, the skill and most importantly - the creative vision, then you'll be rewarded greatly I feel.
I'd like to see an end to Flight sims on games consoles but we might not even be playing games consoles in 10 years time! The world could be full of simulators and VR units! We may well be taking holidays via Virtual travel agents! But if all this seems to scary, then I'm sure you'll always be able to escape back into the friendly 'REAL' world and play on the timeless classic that is tetris, or whatever takes your fancy.
The future is bright people, because we're part of it!
What's Zilt? Zilch? I dunno. You have to learn so many new words on this site, Zilt... err...
(Humm.)
What did Ali call the story? Skit. What's a Skit?
(When some liquid gets thrown onto you. Somehow. Skit.)
That doesn't make any sense though!
(Oh shut up.)
Never mind i did remember writing similar.
