Im really interested in getting a DVD player. Ive been searching around, and most places seem to say that you should go for a good brand player. Since i dont know that much about dvd players, i was wondering which ones are the good brands? Obviously Sony and the like are the most reputable, but are there other players worth looking at?

Yes, but the reviews are bound to be favourable. Almost every review is heavily biased.
Check out the Cyber Home 405 on this very site, £79.99 for a multi-region machine, plays MP3 CDs etc. Customer reviews are more than favourable, I suggest you check it out.
