Hi! hope you folks all had a good xmas and i hope you won't mind me picking your brains for some advice.
I got an Epson 830 as an xmas present, it was bought from ASDA for £88 and has not been taken out of box yet. I notice that ARGOS have an offer at the minute for the Epson 895 at half price £90 and it appears a better printer as it has media card slot. I am considering returning the 830 and getting the 895 instead, can anyone advice me as to which of these two printers is the best so as i can make the right decision.

The media card slot isn't that big a deal, in my opinion. It just lets you print pictures straight from (some) digital cameras. Since the best thing about digital cameras is that you can use a PC to crop or remove red-eye from images BEFORE you print them, this seems a bit pointless.
But I expect that the 895 prints at a higher resolution than the 830. You could look at the specs on epson.co.uk to check this. I'd go for the 895 if I were you: better model, same price.

Ink cartridges cost pretty much the same for both models, around £7 mark for colour and £6 for black.
Basically, i am contemplating going for the 895 because it has the media card slot for direct printing but i don't know how big an advantage this is and also print quality is more of a priority.
