I've had a great day so far, with an N64, DK64 and TWINE being amongst the highlights of the presents. My wife and daughter are also having a great day, but are both currently sleeping. We had a great dinner, and even the washing up didn't phase me.
So why is this a tale of woe?
I'll tell you why!
In approximately 20 minutes my Mother-in-Law will be here to suck all fun from the room.
Will I be able to play TWINE?
No, it's too violent, she'd say.
Will I be able to play Donkey Kong 64?
No, too childish, she'd say.
She'll probably take ownership of the remote control this evening, and i'll be stuck watching Titanic.
Oh well.
It's nothing that large quantities of alcohol won't solve!
