Just before I give you all another pondorously tough poser of a question, I must add I'm using this forum *way* too much, considering I'm meant to be OK on a PC. Anywayz..

Why have my speakers decided to give a slight echo. 2 hours ago it was fine, but now it gives an echo. A slight reverbaration (therefore, the title makes sense).

Help?

Its *so* annoying!

I have probs like this too. I've already tried the suggestions below, it still does it.

Well, actually it doesn't, but it does when I play a CD (music). It's fixed on everything except playing CDs.

PS. I don't know what sound card I have but it isn't SoundBlaster, because none of my games like Sound Blaster.

Hm. Have you turned your speakers on? What's teh delay on the echo? Is it like a ghost?

I seriously don't think this has anything to do with magnetism, sounds like feedback to me.

Magnet near your speakers?

Put some headphones in instead - does it still do it? Tried a reboot?

I don't have a clue...

:c)

If you have got a SoundBlaster sound card then you will have their control panel somewhere on your PC..

On my PC it's in the start bar in the Creative tab...

Basically go into the Soundblaster menu and go on the Surround Mixer, turn the effect off if it's on...

Mine did that somehow once but I managed to fix it!

If it doesn't work, then I haven't got a clue!
